Welcome to the end week 9! Only one more week until the holidays. School will finish at 2:10pm next Friday for the end of term.

Term 3

Deb Jackaman and Terri Rodriguez are taking long service leave for next term. During this time Jake Nicholls will be the 3/4 classroom teacher for Term 3. Jake has worked at HCSPS as a relief teacher, SSO and OSHC worker. He is looking forward to working with the children next term. Deb, Terri and Jake will be meeting to plan the teaching and learning program to ensure continuity for the children’s learning. Fiona Bellis will be increasing her teaching days to take the R/1 class fulltime.

Casual Day

Next Friday, 8/07/2022, will be a gold coin casual day. Students are encouraged to dress in school appropriate casual clothes.

 2023 Enrolments

It’s time to enrol for 2023 if your child will be starting preschool, reception or high school. Please pop in to the Front Office to collect an enrolment pack for preschool or reception. High school packages were emailed out and the process was completed online.

We invite you to take a personal tour with one of our leadership team, Vicki or Donna. Please call on 8381 4080 to book a tour.

Parking

At times parking at HCSPS can be busy. A number of parking options are available when you drop off or pick up your child at school.

We ask all parents to ensure that safety aspects such as speed, observation and reversing cautiously are adhered to.

Safety instructions include:

  • observing school speed limits – there’s a 25 km zone around schools when children are present
  • not parking in no standing zones or across school entrances
  • respecting local neighbours and their right to access their driveways
  • not double parking
  • ensuring that children exit or enter their car onto the footpath.

Remember that the City of Marion enforces parking regulations and police may take action against traffic offences.

We appreciate your co-operation in keeping our school safe.

Have a lovely weekend.
