Hi Everyone,
This week we have had NAPLAN testing occurring for our Year 3s and 5s. I was proud of the way the students and staff approached the testing – calm and ready to have a go. These tests can be daunting, especially when both year levels have not participated in them before. Well done to all of those involved.
School Photo Day is next week on Wednesday 18/05/2022. Don’t forget to send along your envelopes and money to purchase a momento of your child/children’s schooling. I love looking back at my children’s school photos!
We are in need of a few more volunteers to help on our Election Day BBQ. Please consider helping out for an hour to support our wonderful school community. Every little bit helps!
HCSPS Governing Council AGM
Would you like to have your say? Do you have ideas and or suggestions you would like to share? Would you like to be more involved in your child’s education? Do you have 2 Monday nights free a term? If so, you may be interested in joining our Governing Council. No experience is necessary and we are looking for up to 12 new members. All Governing Council members need to have a current Working with Children Check or apply for one. We can support parents to obtain a Working with Children Check. For more information, come along to the Governing Council AGM on Monday 23rd May in the Front Office at 6pm.
Sporting Schools
We were meant to start soccer/football clinics this week but the coach tested positive to COVID so we have had to postpone the start.
I hope everyone enjoys the weekend and gets some down time.
