esterday the students practiced their team chants and the whole school relay for Sports Day. It was great to see everyone giving their all at the practice.
Sports Day
Sports Day will be held on Friday 23/09/2022. Students and staff have been hard at work practising for the day.
SAPSASA
All the participating students represented HCSPS fantastically at SAPSASA Athletics. It was brilliant to see the students cheering and giving their all throughout the day. A special congratulations to Kitty for winning the 10 Year old High Jump and Eryn for coming 3rd in 11 Year old high jump. It was a tremendous day for all students enjoying the sunshine and representing the school.
Working Bee
The Working Bee that was postponed earlier this term is planned for Saturday 17th September from 9-12. We understand people’s lives are busy but if you can spare an hour it would be much appreciated. We will be doing general gardening jobs, painting and other small jobs around the school and preschool.
Preschool Playground
We are hoping to start the upgrade to the outside play in November.

Here’s how it works. Instead of paper forms coming home in your child’s school bag, you will be sent an email notification with a link to click that opens a secure web page version of the form to complete and submit. You can do this on your phone, tablet or computer at your convenience. All the data you submit in the forms is held in a secure database only accessible to selected school staff. You should have received an email earlier this week about permissions for photographs.

2023 Enrolments
If you know of anyone who has a preschool or school age child and is looking for a school please encourage them to book a tour with either Vicki or myself.
Preschool 2023
DfE are introducing a mid-year intake into preschool. This means that from 2023 children who turn 4 years old:
- Before 1 May are eligible to start preschool at the beginning of the year.
- On 1 May to 31 October can commence preschool through the mid-year intake at the start of term 3 of that year.
Children who turn 4 years after 31 October will be eligible to commence preschool at the start of the following year.
School Closure Day
We will be having a Student Free Day on Friday 2nd December 2022 after our End of Year Concert.
